Collegiate Licensing Company

The University’s licensing agent, Collegiate Licensing Company, administers the license application process on behalf of Penn State. If you are interested in obtaining a Penn State license, please visit CLC online to request an application.

Four Step Process

Please visit CLC online to download a license application. The process typically takes 4-6 weeks, & has four steps as follows:

  1. Submit a CLC license application.
  2. Send CLC samples or preliminary designs of products bearing Penn State indicia, purchase liability insurance for your product, provide product specifications, and buy the appropriate CLC hologram labels to affix to your merchandise. (Manufacturers may also be required to submit an Authorized Manufacturer’s Agreement.)
  3. Submit other required forms and fees.
  4. Review by University for Licensing Approval.
